27 May to 2 June 2012 17th summer school "Post-Accident Radiation Monitoring Techniques" - PARM 2012 was held.

Training camp in Lutej gathered an international team, which included representatives of response services and research institutions of Canada,  Middle East, USA, Slovakia, Korea and Japan.

Participants listened a theoretical course on radiation monitoring and emergency response in case of nuclear or radiological accidents. Then the team got the opportunity to apply knowledge to practice and improve skills in assessing pollution of territories, as well as radiological analysis of food and other samples.

Traditionally, trip to the Chernobyl exclusion zone was a part of the practical course. It include a field training in real highly contaminated area,  a visit to object "Shelter" and a tour of Pripyat.
